MOVING PERSONAL BELONGINGS

The Students' Union has a vehicle that is suitable for hire to move personal belongings from one residence to another.

Hire rates are outlined below:

Cost per hour (minimum 1 hour) £1.75
Cost per mile £0.49p

A driver of the vehicle must be registered with the Union, having undertaken a driving assessment. If you are not a registered driver one can be provided to drive for you for the hourly rate of £6.50.

The above rates are subject to VAT at 17.5%.

You will be required to pay the driver at the end of your move for both his/her time and for the cost of using the vehicle, therefore please make sure you have some cash with you.

The charges listed above are per move and not per person but any attempts to try and fit too many belongings into the vehicle will not be tolerated and may result in you being refused the service.

PLEASE NOTE: Both the Union's Motor Insurance and your Endsleigh Personal Possessions Insurance do not cover personal belongings while they are in the vehicle.
