Varsity Cricket
The annual Varsity 20/20 Cricket match will be held at the University of Leicester sports grounds at Stoughton Road, Oadby. Date is Monday 19th May. The match starts at 5.45 p.m. Free entry. Seating is on the grass, so spectators should bring rugs to sit on. People can also bring their own drinks.
Summer Ball 2008
The biggest event in the student calendar returns on Saturday 14th June 2008.
The line up: Feeder, Zane Lowe, Right Said Fred, Ministry of Sound, Pendulum (DJ set), Scratch Perverts, H Two O, Utah Saints, Duke, Tony Large - It, DJ Flo and the University Big Band. Tickets are now on sale at the union shop and the Bars and Entertainments office.

The university is not all about lectures and books; it is also about trying out new things and having the time of your life. Forthcoming CAT events are as follows: Monday 9th June -Badminton Tournament; Tuesday 10th June - Alton Towers £23 (Inc Transport); Friday 13th June- Paintball £20 (including transport). The Second Hand Bookshop
For a relaxing afternoon on the park, pick up a good read from the Second Hand Book Shop! We stock a wide range of novels including classics, chick-lit, science fiction, fantasy, travel and more. With prices at around £2, why not take advantage of the good weather, grab a book and head to the park for an hour or two's break from revision? You'll find us on the lower ground floor of the Percy Gee (Students' Union) building, open from 10am till 4pm Monday to Friday. You can also get some good bargains at the Union Shop.
