So what does the International Students Committee Do?

 

Summary

• The Committee shall advise the Union on representational matters relating to international students.

Membership

• Welfare and International Officer(Chair)
• The Presidents of all National Societies as defined by the Constitution
• The President of the International Students Association
• Three officers without portfolio.

Meetings

• The quorum of the Committee shall be 50% of the current voting membership, but not less than two members.
• The committee shall meet at least twice each term.

Powers/Duties

• The Committee shall discuss and advise the Welfare and International Officer and the Union on representational matters concerning international students.
• Should a National Society President fail to attend a meeting, the Committee shall be empowered to recommend the suspension of the Society’s grant to the Student Activities Committee.
