Union Council is the hub around which all decisions in the Union are made. The Council is made up of representatives from all sectors of the student community and has the power to decide virtually anything in the Union.
So, if you want the Union to give you £400 to start a lager drinking society, you want cheese banned from the shop, or you want the Union to run a campaign for clean fish, then Union Council is the place to go!

- To have a Mature Students Common Room
- Campaign to keep Wednesday afternoons free.
- To build the kitchen in the Redfearn.
- To refurbish the shop.
- To extend the opening hours of reception.
- To ban strippers from the Redfearn.
- To extend the Sabbatical Term of Office.
- To oppose the war on Iraq and campaign against it.
Think all this is outrageous? Then come along to Union council (look at the 'What's on' things in the Queen's Hall Foyer for when) and have your say.
