Two weeks of events for Fairtrade fanatics and sceptics alike

Ever wondered what the real implications of buying Fairtrade foods are? Well you can find out soon, because the next two weeks the University of Leicester Students' Union is celebrating Fairtrade Fortnight and is hosting numerous activities for students to take part in.

So if you're a Fairtrade sceptic, come and listen to a talk from the Fairtrade Foundation and hear how buying Fairtrade makes such a positive difference to so many people; and if you're a Fairtrade fanatic come and watch Black Gold in the Lounge at 7.30 on Thursday 28 and indulge in free Fairtrade tea and chocolate.

FRIDAY 7: As a climax of the Fairtrade Fortnight and in collaboration with People&Planet's Redress Fashion Campaign, we're assembling on the Fielding Johnson Lawn and marching down to demonstrate in front of clothing outlets which are notoriously bad for producing thier clothing unethically.
