Representation
The Students' Union has increased the representation of Postgraduate Students within the Students' Union. For the first time there were elections held in October for 5 Postgraduate Faculty Representatives. The representatives are full members of Union Council and sit on the Postgraduate Committee. Currently 3 of these positions are filled with the posts in Arts and Social Science still been available. These representatives are there for you to use, bring your problems forward to and act as your voice within the University and the Students' Union. The Current Representatives are:-

Advice and Guidance
The Unit can contact departments on your behalf, accompany you to meetings, and help put together academic appeals. This list is by no means exhaustive and in general we will give as much support and guidance as possible to get the best deal for you.
The Students Union offers a free, impartial and confidential academic advice service through the Education Unit. This part of the website contains advice and guidance for both rearch and taught degrees on the following areas:-

NPC
The National Postgraduate Committee (NPC) is an organisation which offers adivce on a wide variety of issues including funding avenues, campaign to keep Wednesday Afternoons Free. For more information click on the link below http://www.npc.org.uk/
