Surfing is one of the UK's fastest growing sports and with the thrill of catching a wave, dropping in and riding it into shore, there's no wonder everyone wants to try it out. The Leicester University Surf Club will give its members the opportunity to learn the art of surfing, which is not so much a sport as it is a way of life.
No experience is necessary to join and there will be an opportunity to receive tuition from BSA qualified surf schools. Whether you want to try it for the first time or continue practising those skills, then the Surf Club is for you.
The club will run regular trips to Devon, Cornwall, South Wales and other top UK surfing locations. Possible longer trips abroad to warmer seas in the Easter and summer vacations are also on the cards for its members.
This will, of course, all be combined with great social events, which are the cornerstone of any club or society at the University of Leicester Students' Union. The only requirement for membership is a fervent personality and a willingness to give it a go.
