MOUNTAINEERING CLUB | ||||||||||||

The Mountaineering Club is an exciting, well established sports club at the University. We offer all forms of mountaineering, including bouldering, traditional climbing and scrambling.
The club runs regular weekend trips. Destinations include the Peak District, Lake District and Yorkshire. A longer trip to Scotland is organised over the New Year, and a summer meet.
Trips to a local climbing wall are run weekly where you have the opportunity to climb, have some fun and socialise. The club enjoys a vibrant social life running many social nights, a Christmas dinner meet and the handover ball.
New members are readily welcomed. We provide all the gear required to start in the sport; you can choose your own level of involvement in the club. All you need to join is enthusiasm. In return we promise to offer you a year packed with fun and adventure.
