The cricket season starts as soon as the summer term begins and continues until mid-June when term ends. We enter two sides into the BUSA championship, which is played at fifty overs per innings with additional friendly fixtures. At first XI level we compete at a high standard, the second XI standard isn't as tough but is very competitive and the third XI play at a friendly level. Matches are played on either a Wednesday or Sunday afternoon.
During the winter, we run weekly net sessions using the excellent facilities at the Manor Road sports centre. We run two indoor sides during the closed season that compete in the Leicestershire and Rutland indoor championship and the first VI is entered into the BUSA indoor championship.
The club is friendly and sociable and all members are made to feel welcome and part of the team, especially once the summer term begins.
