Rowing is a sport open to all individuals, both male and female; whether you want to have a little splash around and come to some crazy socials, or you want to train at elite level and represent the University at Henley Royal Regatta.
We have an increasing number of boats in our fleet which covers most types, so both new and experienced oarsman can be catered for. When learning to row, you will be training down at Leicester City Rowing Club a couple of times a week.
For the senior squads, training takes place in Nottingham at the National Water Sports Centre. Seniors are expected to be committed with up to 12 training sessions a week of both land and water training. Novices, if they wish, can be moved up to the senior squad after the first semester depending on enthusiasm and commitment.
