Welcome to the our homepage! At the moment we are developing our site in order to suit your needs. This should include notification of future, and pictoral reminders of previous events.

Every Semester, we plan on bringing a host of new social and academic activities to ensure all of our members (and our committee!) experience university life to the full; during the following year we have planned many ways to fulfil this goal. These include a dueling debate between two mathematics lecturers on the pros and cons of exam based learning against problem based learning, where you can have your say. Also we will be selling SUMS hoodies to those who are interested, not to mention having socials through-out the year, including some themed ones.

At the end of each year the SUMS committee organise The Ball; an annual event shared by members and non-members alike. Previous locations for this event have been a the Peking Duck restaurant and, more recently, the Walkers Stadium.

Every year we have feedback telling us how much they enjoyed their time in the maths society, so don't miss your chance to be part of a more active year.
