NaSTA 2008 - Hosted by LUST
It's all done and dusted. Leicester successfully hosted NaSTA 2008 in March. Appoximately 250 students from 20 stations from across the country came to Leicester for the 3 day conference and awards. Early feedback from delegates suggests they were very pleased with the event, with the gala dinner held in the Charles Wilson Building. The awards ceremony was undoubted the highlight, with the silver screen dusted down in the Queens Hall to show the nominations. The annual golden bodge event was well recieved, filming occurring at GMS Halls, the winner of the bodge was GUST.
Not only did LUST host, but we managed to pick up some awards of our own. Highly Commended for Factual, Highly Commended for Best Broadcaster. LUST can still call itself national award winning as it Won Best Promo.
Next year the event moves to SUSU.tv based in Southampton University. Visit www.nasta.org.uk for more details.
