Associations differ from societies as they are intended to benefit students in what they do, and for this reason they are given a greater freedom in how they operate.

The International students Association, (ISA) is an organization supporting international students as well as home students at Leicester University. A committee of students elected by ISA members annually runs it. We reach around 1000 members each year, representing over 80 countries. (UK included)
We organize parties frequently during the year, for everyone to come and enjoy British and international cultures mixed.
The ISA organises day and overnight trips to "must-see" places, such as, London, Cambridge, Oxford, Wales, Lake Districts, Nottingham, Brighton, Canterbury, Edinburgh, Stonehenge, Stratford upon Avon, York and Bath. Also, we throw in some weeklong trips for those who want to explore Scotland, Ireland and parts of England and Wales.
We also show international movies in our weekly Film Night which is free for members. isa@le.ac.uk
