At the University of Leicester we have nearly 200 student groups from American Football Club to the Wilderness Medical Society and they provide you with a wide range of activities. So there are plenty of chances for you to do the activities you like and also to try loads more.
AssociationsAssociations are primarily there to benefit students in what they do, and they enjoy a greater freedom to undertake their activities.
Through our associations you can volunteer in the local community, travel around the country, raise money for charity, meet people from all over the world, learn to provide advice to fellow students and much more.
SocietiesWith around 100 different societies there's hopefully something to tempt everyone in the student's union. It may be something you interested in or something you've always wanted to try; whichever way it'll be a great way to meet new people, learn new skills and above all have loads of fun!

At Leicester University Students' Union there is a great sporting tradition with around 32 sports clubs. It's a mix of competitive and non-competitive sports so there is something for everyone. More information regarding the Sports Association can be found here.
If you want up to the minute information, you should take a visit to the Sports Office on the first floor of the Students' Union.
